MARK YOU CALENDARS FOR NEXT YEAR’S EVENT – MAY 1-3, 2019
After a 2 year break, our 5th annual Emerald Coast Motorcycle Challenge is back and scheduled for April 26-28, 2018 (under slightly new management). The challenge is being hosted by The Boardwalk again, which is situated on the white sugar sand beaches of the beautiful Emerald Coast on Okaloosa Island, and sponsored in part by Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson!!
The charity competition benefits the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Sheriff’s Star Charity, a 501c3 organization (EIN# 46-4992005). The OCSO Sheriff’s Star Charity began life in 2013 with the sole intention of supporting OCSO employees and their families in times of need. Since then our charity has grown substantially and we now not only support our OCSO employees and families every year, we also donate more than $10,000 annually to local charities! The last four years of the challenge (with a slight break and management change bringing us into the 2018 event) have brought 285 riders to the event on the Emerald Coast! Take a look at how well our numbers have grown:

As you can see this event has significantly grown each year and we are thrilled that we’re back in action!! Our hopes are to grow this event again this year and with your help I’m confident we will surpass our goal of beating our 2015 numbers.
The Boardwalk, as many of you already know, has a parking lot surface that is very suitable, wet or dry, for these types of events (and the scenery can’t be beat). We will not be going back to the Santa Rosa Mall for this competition, and we’re riding rain or shine (minus lightning).
This challenge is open to Law Enforcement, as well as non-Law Enforcement riders. The 2018 Emerald Coast Motorcycle Challenge will be $65 for competitors for the three day event (1 day practice, 2 days competition). That $65 dollars will get you entry into the competition, a meet and greet cookout Thursday after practice at Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson, a continental breakfast Friday & Saturday, a competition t-shirt, a certificate of competition, 24 hours of training credit (for motor officers), and one entry into the awards banquet Saturday evening after the competition (additional banquet tickets will be available for purchase). Our event hotel is the Ramada Plaza Beach Resort, which is directly next door to the event, and they are offering a significant discount to our competitors. Folks this event and location promises to be a great time for the whole family, so load up your better half and kids, and come on down!
